BACK TO WORK........

Now that our contractor Rob is back from a 2 week moose hunt, work has resumed on the house. Upstairs the plumbing in the bathroom and laundry room has been started, as well as the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Shawn has a walk-thru with the electrician on Friday, the siding and more windows are on the barge. Water lines and the rest of the utilities should be run up to the house next week and work on the rock walls will begin. Hope to have lots of updates in the next few weeks.

And my garden window over the kitchen sink is installed. Another solid week of sun is in the forecast, hope the siding gets here soon.

FLY BY...............

A friend of Shawn's from work was headed out to a research site the other day via helicopter when he just happened to fly over the house. Thank you Anthony for the great pictures.

FRAMING FINISHED........

On the 2nd floor the hallway,bedroom/sewing room, 3rd bedroom, master bedroom walk-in closets and stairs emerge from the piles of sawdust. The roof will be installed early next week, can't wait to get the cedar siding on to cover up that lovely yellow and Typar logo.

And a rainbow to end a beautiful Friday evening and start a 3 day weekend!

FROM THIS TO THIS........

In just one day's work, the roof joists and sheathing is in place, with the ceiling overhead we now get the feel of the house and views from the 2nd floor. The 2nd floor rooms are being framed in, the metal roof has arrived in Juneau, next comes the windows.
