THE REST OF THE STORY..........

There were many amazing 24 hour transformations during the 7 months of construction, but none was more amazing than the 24 hours from Thursday afternoon February 3rd to Friday afternoon February 4th 3:00 PM when the building inspector was due. Thursday night the great room was still a staging area and the floor covered with protective cardboard. Somehow Rob & Scott our contractors along with Chris, Sean and countless other sub contractors pulled it all together and got it all done in time. The dream had come to fruition. Meanwhile the upstairs bathroom is a saga for another post. Now after 10 days of slowly moving out of the apartment, organizing the house, getting the Internet up and running and sitting back and just staring out the windows we are almost at the end of this awesome journey. I will continue to add new posts as Shawn is not allowing any pictures of the great room until the decorator (him) is finished.

COUNTDOWN CONTINUES.........

The great room continues to be a staging area for tile cutting, which is almost finished around the tub. We might be able to start moving in early next week. Appliances, stairway carpet, bathroom fixtures should be installed by the weekend. Most importantly the Directv is ready to be fired up. Crock pot, beer and Shawn will be able to watch the Packers from a lawn chair in the great room on Sunday. Last Saturday I tagged along on a clear, calm, cold day to pull the crab pot. Leaving Auke Bay and Shawn ready to snag the pot. Didn't get a crab but had a great ride.
